Summer Song getting closer to launch date tentatively set for May 15th. A lot of little jobs to do. Finished the rough ones, sanding and painting the bottom and boot stripe. Now touch up the topsides and varnish. Installed a new VHF radio with a remote mic in the cockpit. Put an hourmeter on the engine. Also installed 12 volt cigarette lighter jack in the electrical panel so I can use my Coleman 12v cooler and charge things like my cell phone, iPod, and laptop. Need to order a roll of Sunbrella to make new cushion covers for the cockpit and cabin, and new covers for the sails and hatches. First 8 day weekend at the end of May.

The boat is covered and put away for the winter. I've started on winter chores like re-painting the dinghy, which is almost done. Bought new VHF radio with remote mic, two new cleats for amidships. Am trying to sell the Luke fisherman's anchor on craigslist. Here are some new pics. I bought new halyards and have to splice on the thimbles and shackles.

Went to Kittery and motored the boat upriver to Patton's boatyard where Summer Song will spend the winter. I have to build a frame to hold the winter cover, which I will do next week and start making new halyards and maybe new sheets. I also want to build new dorade boxes for the two vents in front of the cabin.

have bought an H-28 sailboat in Harpswell, Me. I expect to take possision of it by the end of the month and sail it to Branford, Ct. and keep it at the Dutch Wharf boatyard. I am building an Eastport Pram in my garage to use as a tender for the H-28. When all of this is settled, I plan to put my house on the market and if it sells by Nov. 15th I will sail to the Carib. for the winter.
